Perennial herbs, common throughout the British Isles on neglected cultivated land, roadsides and river banks.

The use of dock leaves to treat nettle stings is the most widely known folk remedy in the British Isles.

Scientific name(s): Rumex obtusifolius and other Rumex spp.
