poor chris. we had ongoing problems about treating our crew vs treating our hosts. planning the medical kit was incredibly difficult - we didn't know how many people we were going to find in the area of the forest we were going to, and very little is known about their health. We spoke to many anthropologists about what would be useful, and we've both worked in Africa before, but it ended up being guess work. We ran out of a couple of things pretty early- we worked on a first come, first served basis - there's no point in saving medicines for future patients if there's someone ill in front of you. Chris did improve after the leaves - and our guide louis sarno swore by them.
