Beer to help with anaemia

Black beer mixed with egg was, years ago, used to treat anaemia and general weakness of the body.

    Stout such as Guinness has been used for years in Ireland to treat anaemia due to its iron content. Anaemia can be caused by a lack of iron, vitamin B12 or folic acid - all of which are essential to produce red blood cells.
