Many medicinal uses for comfrey

Comfrey leaves had boiling water poured on them, then applied to BOILS, infected CUTS and grazes. It does actually heal large boils very rapidly. They can also be pounded using a pestle and mortar and combined with purified lard or lanolin and used to alleviate ECZEMA and skin RASHES. I’ve recently seen this work where modern drugs/remedies have not.

Comfrey was always abundant in old cottage gardens and used in a strong infusion to cure DIARRHOEA (SCOUR) both in animals and humans. Comfrey leaves were used to line bean and root crop trenches at planting time as comfrey was considered a good booster to plant growth
