Sprained ankle
Comfrey was collected by a fellow student of mine as a boy in the 1940s and taken to the local white witch at Beer, Devon – I think she gave him six pence a large bag.
A friend of ours had her sprained ankle treated with a comfrey poultice in the Hebrides a few years ago – and it worked a treat!
