Asprin on spots
The number one best way to cure spots is to grind up an asprin, add a little water and apply it to the spot. Not only does it get rid of spots it also helps the skin heal somehow which means it also helps get rid of the scars.

this is a pretty good idea. it's certainly safe and there are good reasons why it may well work - many antiseptic creams contain salycillic acid which doesn't appear to have anti bacterial properties (germolene for instance). as well as this aspirin is a good anti inflammatory - by decreasing the local inflammation (your body's immune cells migrate to an area and release chemicals to fight infection) there is less swelling and potentially less scarring. I don't have a spot at the moment but i'll try it next time.

that would be why a product i use called 'tend skin' works so well - it contains aspirin! it is also good for ingrowing hairs. grinding up aspirin in water would be far cheaper than buying the tendskin at £10 a bottle.

So it seems pretty common knowledge that aspirin is also used to help reduce heart disease & cholesterol - I think doctors prescribe like a half a pill a day. And now it looks like there are skin products with aspirin in it. What I wonder is, why don't they come out with some product that has aspirin in it, like a drink (like those little yoghurt drinks) or something, which would help prevent heart disease? Surely that has to be more benficial to people's health than increasing 'friendly bacteria'.

Sounds like a plan then! How long does it take though for the spot to disappear? And do you have to rinse it off? Coz we can't all do this and then wonder round for the rest of the day with white blotches on our faces, can we?! I ain't knockin it though
