Blue bottle/ jellyfish stings

contributed by Janny 06 Feb | 11:35

My grandmother who is now 92 year old used to live in a seaside town called Fish Hook in Cape Town, South Africa. During our school holiday my cousins and I would swim in the sea every day and sometimes got stung by blue bottles. She used to dab meat tenderiser then white vinegar on the stings to treat them. This took away the sting completley and the redness went within hours. Not sure how it works but it does.
