kidney stones

I knew of this treatment for a very long time but have not put it to use until my Filipino maid complained of kidney stones pain. I boiled the beards from 4 fresh corns which were already in the fridge, for 30 minutes in slow fire, cool the infusion and pour it into a litre bottle for her to drink throughout the day and night. She pee’ed into a pot that night and to her great relief tiny grains of sand-like stones were flushed out. She continues to drink this infusion once in a while and has no recurrence of pain.

In my family, whenever we eat corn, we always save the beard to make this concoction for the whole family to drink.

I knew there had to be some reason for the hairy bits of the sweetcorn - good to know there's some kind of masterplan ;-)
