If your eyes are all cried out and you don’t want them to look sore in the morning then rest two cold tea bags on them for about twenty minutes.

I have also heard that the same (i.e. tea bags) may be used to ease tired, puffy eyes.

You can also use cold spoons - the curves match the curves of your eyes. Just dip them into cold water when they warm up.

Sorry if this is too much of a silly question but: should the spoons be facing upwards or downwards?

Use a spoon large enough to cover your eyes, and place the concave part of the spoon over your eyes (so downward I guess). I think spas use slices of cucumber for the same purpose... but I think they warm up too quickly to really have that much effect.

have never tried it but i sometimes cry due to pain of neuralgia when at it's worst and I can't sleep or am just feeling like crap, worth giving it a shot.
