"Tea" for insomnia

contributed by scottfree 31 Mar | 11:16

I have periodic insomnia, and to deal with it I usually take Quiet Life tablets (hops & passion flower). But recently I was staying with a friend who swears by Clipper Sleep Easy herbal tea. I am a bit skeptical of these things, as I have never found a tea infusion that is strong enough to really work. But I couldn’t sleep so tried it, and was really surprised to find that it worked! Within 30minutes, my eyes were drooping and I had a really good night’s sleep.

Their website says it has these ingredients:
Cinnamon, Chamomile (25%), Honeybush, Lemon balm (5%), Valerian root (5%)

I wonder which one(s) are the ones that make it work so well. I’ve tried chamomile tea in the past, but it never really worked and I don’t like the taste. This one doesn’t have that flowery taste at all, it’s much more like spices.
