Using comfrey for ulcers

My cousin had an ulcer on her leg from her ankle to knee. Ointment from the doctor did her no good. Someone told her to bathe the leg with comfrey – boiling the leaves – bathe two or three times a day. In just over a week it had gone down to [the size of] a postage stamp

    I have heard of manuka honey being good for ulcers but not found a recipe using it as yet.
